TERA Explains the Political System and What Vanarchs Can Do

With the first elections just around the corner, TERA published a new game guide that explains everything about the political system. This system is quite unique to the MMORPG world and has already caused some stir recently. Vanarchs, for one thing, can control Specialty Vendors. These vendors have items necessary for enchanting items passed +6 and +9 which gates equipment needed for end-game hard mode dungeons. These vendors were turned off in anticipation of the Vanarch elections but recently were turned back on.

This only gives us a taste of why you want to vote for good Vanarchs.

We’ve mentioned that a vanarch has the power to tax and turn on special vendors and services. In addition, the vanarch and all members of the vanarch’s guild get unique mounts. In fact, they’re the fastest mounts in the game, and only a select few players will have access to them, and only while their guild leader is in power.

On top of that, the vanarch will have access to a special “message of the day” announcement as well as an announcement channel, both of which can be used to communicate with people in the zone you reign over.

There is a deeper system at play that include Policy Points and giving the Vanarch’s guild special access to new quests.

Also, many people previously thought the game only had a few Vanarchs at once. This isn’t the case! Vanarchs must choose a continent then rank the individual provinces in order of which they want to run.

ou need to select one of TERA’s three available continents (Southern Arun, Southern Shara, Northern Shara), and then rank its provinces according to which ones you most want to govern. Those who receive the most votes for each continent (remember, each account only gets one vote per server) are awarded provinces based on their top choices.
